Vacuum Packing Bearings

Has anyone used vacuum to pack grease in bearings?

My thought is to goop grease around the brg and wrap in wax paper, place in a plastic bag and vacuum the air out. then just massage the grease in the brg thru the plastic bag.

May have to use a good vacuum pump or a seal a meal.

They have made 'bearing packing' tools for decades, but they all use grease under pressure. If there was a way to use a vacuum effectively, somebody would have make a gadget using it by now.

The drawback to vacuum is there's no way to eliminate an air pocket, especially with a thick grease.

never tried it, always use a plews bearing packer.
