Upper shaft leaking

Hello

I have a 1993 Yamaha 40hp. It's leaking gear oil from the upper shaft when pushing in oil.
As a newbie I have no clue what is causing this. Does anyone know why it's leaking from there and what to do about it?

Looks like water coming put.------Replace the driveshaft seal.----Perhaps a complete seal kit is needed.
