Is there enough valve clearance to handle the increased lift with 1.7 roller rockers.

valve clearance isn't a pr

valve clearance isn't a problem but spring compression and PSI of the springs can be and can cause pushrod failure. I suggest some searching on Google for 1.7 rocker 350 GM /Chevy etc.. see what you find.

Also changing things like that with an engine with a ECM/Computer means you'll need to reprogram to fully take advantage as now it will want more fuel.

You may want to go talk to a local HP engine builder too..

"oh.. forgot that I used a set of the Crane Roller TIPped Rockers (1.65:1) on my HP 350 V8.. I think they were good for upto 20-40hp I think.. also I used 1010 Steel Pushrods, but ones for Roller Lifters like yours are a different lenght.

Roller tips help reduce some of the friction and will reduce wear on the valve guide as the rocker moves it wont push/pull the valve sideways."
