"Hi all, I have an AQ145A with an 280 sterndrive.
I want to change oil in the engine with 15w40 as adviced in this forum. What is the best choice to use in the 280 stern-drive ?, cause my manual mention only same type as engine.
Advice very appreciated.

"You can use whatever oil you are using in your engine (10W-30, 15W-40, 10W-40, 20W-50, straight 30, etc). I advised at one point 15W-40 because that was the one I was using in my engine and because it is a bit beavier than 10W-30. I have used it for several years in my 280 without any problems."
