Twwin 50 gi dished intake valves both engins

was running at 4400 rpm when s

was running at 4400 rpm when started to loos rpm found port eng. no comp. 1 cyl stbd. eng. no comp. 2 cyl. both eng. dished intake valves at same time. WHY? machine shop has seen a lot of this in the last 18 mos. thinks lo octain related. aney advice on what to look for. both nunning good now. I dont want to run them until I know why it happned.

Thanks info was good. tulip valves is what I ment. engins are 2000 5.0GI volvo (305 chev.)with volvo DP drives. installed after market intake valves in all heads-new knock sensors. no trip codes in computers. to predetonate and tulip valves I would think timing to advanced-lo octain fuel? I am wondering if computer program being used 1992 to 2003 is wright for todays fuels. should base timing be set back a few deg. to compensate
