I'd like to share two batteries for my 25HP engine and a 24v trolling motor. And I'd like to be able to charge one of those batteries when the engine is running. Is this even possible? Attached is a diagram of how I think it would work. Basically, Batt 1 is a direct 12v connection to engine whereas Batt 1&2 are in series to run the trolling motor. Would this work and is there a problem if I wire it up this way? Thanks!!!
