I am trying to find I believe its called WOT RPM info. I have a Mariner 80HP 4 cyl 2 stroke outboard. I believe the year of the motor is 1979. The first 3 numbers of the serial number is 538. it's kinda weird. I find very little info about my motor. I would imagine it was made by mercury ?? I try to cross reference with mercury engines and find alittle more info but nothing on rpm. The rpm charts seem to jump from 70hp to 90hp and nothing about 80hp. I am doing some rewiring and was planning on installing a tachometer.
Any help with some info about my motor would be greatly appreciated!
