Today I had a customer bring his 2012 BF 150 in. Said his motor was toast, literally. On inspecting I found the individual after failing to fix an alarm with gaurdian issue had conncted his temp sensor to the harness and then carefully wrapped in in split loomb sleeving and neetly cable tied it to the harness. This engine then ran perfectly, until it didn't. It got so hot the thermostsat housing melted. Investigation revealed an exhaust blockage. So, to try and save a dollar he completely destroyed his motor. If you can't fix a problem, don't stuff around tricking the ecm, it doesn't pay, get someone competent to investigate, if an alarm is sounding, it's usually doing its job.If I could figure how to upload pics I would have.
