Trim Tab / Steering problem

Mercury 90hp

I have 2 questions, both related to the same issue.
1)
The trim tab behind my prop became loose, and I think it has moved from it's correct position. How do I go about finding it's correct angle again?

2)
The motor has become very loose to steer (NOT loose on the transom or anything as such). Is there a friction screw/bolt that will stiffen this up?

Thanks,

Donald.

1. Aim the tab straight and tighten the bolt. If the steering pulls to one side at cruising speed, adjust the trim tab to correct it. Try one way than the other (if it's incorrect). Note that the tab only works for a narrow range of speeds.

2. The linkage needs to have all the slack removed from it. If that's still ot the solution, you'll need a need steering cable or the rack assembly.
