Trim and tilt help.

Hi all my first post so be gentle.

When trimming down the outdrive will not go all the way down, it stops with about 1/4 travel remaining, to get it all the way down i have to repeatedly raise and lower about 5 or 6 times before i get it fully trimmed down.

There are no issues with trimming up or the trailer switch, just down.

You can hear the motor running etc.

Also the amount of travel left is about the same amount that the trim limit switch controls.

Any opinions or ideas as to what i should look at first would be appreciated.

Ayuh,.... Freshwater, or saltwater,..??

How long ago has the drive been Serviced, 'n Greased,..??

Any build-up on the end caps,..?? it cause bind on the rams...

The limit switches aren't wired into the Down circuit, just the Up circuit...

She runs in salt water, no problems with the drive as i have regularly serviced her no issues with the tilt on the hinge pins. End caps appear to be ok.

Going to try a seal kit for each cylinder and see how she behaves, any other suggestions or things to look for?
