Trailering

I have an Evinrude '91 60hp model E60TLEIB motor. I would like to use the 'tilt locking' mechanism to support the motor while trailering. It seems I read that this device became available for trailering after a certain year. I currently use the tilt locking mechanism for maintenance and use a transom saver connected to the trailer's lower roller and the motors lower unit. Does anyone have a model/year similar to mind that uses the tilt locking mechanism for trailering? Thanks for any feedback...

You're better off with the transom saver for trailering.

all the tilt locks i have ever used i could see the engine rocking out the rear view window when i hit a bump or crossed rail road tracks...a transom saver and a good tiedown is better in my opinion..
