Tracker 75 hp, will not start

Hi Folks,
I recently broke down on the lake and trying to troubleshoot my issue.
When I turn the key, I hear a click, so assume its the solenoid or starter? Any suggestions on how to tell for sure, or should I just start with changing the solenoid (cheap fix).

Jump the posts on the solenoid,if it cranks,it's your solenoid.If it doesn't crank,it's your starter.

Could also be bad battery connections.

I hope you're not one of those using wingnuts to clamp the cables to your battery. Those dopey nuts have caused an unbelievable number of problems for boaters. I use a regular hex nut--much better.
