I have a 2005 Yamaha 60 TLRD. I believe I have a problem with my timing, but I am not sure. When I trim the motor down all the way prior to take-off, the motor seems to rumble like it is bogging down. I am not sure how to describe it. It is just a rumbling that increases the farther down it is trimmed, but it doesn't sound like it is going to stop running. Once it gets past about 1100 RPMs, it seems to stop. A friend was driving my boat and he told a mechanic who said that it is a timing issue. Does that sound like it might be the problem? Does anyone happen to know what the correct timing is for this motor? I have looked and can't find it on the net. Any help is very much appreciated. Also, I am looking for an owner's/service/repair manual for this motor if anybody knows the best place to get one from. I know very little about motors but am trying to learn. Thanks.
