Timer Base Compatability

I am trying to get a E140TXCD running. I bought this engine not running with good compression for a cheap price and #2 cylinder is not firing. One of the coils in the timer base is open. I would like to buy a used one on line to get this engine going. it is a 1986 model.

The timer base has 583045 stamped on it, would a 583289 or something else work? Plenty of 583289s available for $40.00 that appear to match.

Part #583045 supersedes up to #763776
Part #583289 supersedes up to #763776

Meaning... the two parts interchange
