Sympltoms/current state:
- Battery is showing full 12.7 volts
- Remote start engine
- When ignition is engaged a click is heard from starter solenoid but NO voltage is transmitted to the positive lead to starter.
- When ignition is engaged 10.5V is measured on small post to ground on starter solenoid
- If I jump solenoid, starter engages just fine

Is 10.5V acceptable? On the one hand, I can hear the click, on the other hand, I’m not getting any voltage to the starter. If 10.5V is not acceptable, would a bad ignition key switch cause a drop in voltage?

If 10.5V is fine, I guess I’ve got myself a bad solenoid?

Check voltage on solenoid post going to starter when engaged, if not near battery voltage it is bad
winner winner chicken dinner! I ended up revisiting my testing method and tried sending a clean 12.7 volts right through to one of the control circuit posts on solenoid and there was no reaction from starter. I happened to have another identical motor nearby so switched to the second solenoid...started right up! Thank you, sir!
