I have twin 71A’s. While running around 1500 rpm I felt a small tremor from the fly bridge and then noticed my rpm had dropped and I was pushing black smoke from the port engine. Was unable to make more than 1000 rpm after with black smoke minimal at this low rpm. Engine runs rough.
I initially suspected turbo malfunction. Upon inspection the turbo fan on the intake side looks good. Didn’t expose the exhaust side. What’s the most likely cause for this problem? I had been running for five hours when this happened.
