Take Off Top Intake Manifold on my Chrysler 318

Belive I have a blown head gasket. Is there a trick to take off top intake maifold to get to the heads on my Chrysler 318? It seems to be frozen on there, have taken rubber mallet etc. to it.
Thank you for any help or suggestions.

Try forcing a small flat blade screwdriver in at a corner..if its been on a long time its going to take quite a blow to move it

Make DAMN sure all the bolts are out! I, ah, usually miss one or two.

use a chisel and hammer to wedge it up.

Thanks, I got it...used the screwdriver on the corner. Good advice on the bolts also...lots of them to take out.

Just had to yank mine--snapped a tap off in one of the t-stat housing bolts. (Yes, I was pissed!) One of the valve covers needs to be loosened and lifted up an inch to get the fool manifold out of there.

I had to take the distributor out to get that last bolt out

I didn't, but I had to loosen the hold down bolt and lift it up a bit.
