Right so still trying to figure out what's wrong with this motor. 1990 60hp 3cyl.
Replace crank seals last week, exhaust gasket, rubber mounts, started her up, same symptoms..
Makes like a hun-nun-nun sound, half power, takes forever to plane.
All 3 plugs jump a half inch gap with blue arc, compression 139,139,137,
Starts really easy.. New filter,plugs,fuel lines, pump tested fine, replaced all orings on quick connectors, batt new/charged..
All elec connections cleaned, earth, starter connections, all bolts greased and replaced..
When I hooked up dva apapter to test motor cut out, will try again today..
Indexed all 3 cylinders, trigger fires correctly..
Will try get dva readings today..
Mariner is really starting to get annoying!
Just another thing, indexing cylinders on flywheel I rotate clockwise, cyl 1 first indexes to zero on flywheel zero, next shd be 3 and then 2 right, at tdc on same marker wire? Reason I'm asking is it seemed cyl 2 was firing btdc and 1+3 about 6 atdc..
