I bought a used '95 Bayliner Trophy boat that was reported to have been in saltwater for some use. Steadily the steering has become stiffer while motoring the boat. When stopped, the steering is not stiff and is easy to turn. When I disconnected the cable from the motor on land, the motor turns easily and doesn't appear to have any slop in the turning shaft. Do you think that my problem is with the steering cable, or with the motor turning shaft bearings? Thanks, Mike
