"Can anyone tell me if I can take a lower unit from a hydrolic shift and replace it with a mechanical shift. If I can not just replace the lower unit can I bolt up the mech shift outdrive to the hydro shift intermediate housing? Both would be OMC 800.
Another dumb question, do the GM V6 3.8 and Ford 5.8 have the same intermediate housings?"
