stator replacement

Mercury 50 outboard w/elec. start, power trim, SN 6587079
Original stator # 398-5454A21 has 6 wires and the new replacement # 398-832075A20 has only 4 wires (lacking the red wire & red/white stripe wire).
Are the red & red/white stripe wires not needed now?

New stator should have came with a adapter module

Thanks much for your reply.
It did come with all that the picture shows.
I wonder what the red wire & the red/white stripe wire did that are on the old one and not on the new one.
The install pictures for the new one shows the screws are empty that held the red wire & red/white stripe wire.
Any ideas?
