Stator Gooop 1998 90 hp

Last night I removed my flywheel on my 98' 90hp Ocean runner. Under the stator there appeared to be this random puddle of melted then hardened plastic. (enough to make it a pain in the A$% to split the motor sections and remove wires to the stator. My stator still charges fine and looked ok.

"The portion of the stator that melted provides approximately 300v to the powerpack capacitor. The meltdown results in a voltage drop to the powerpack which in turn results in weak, erratic, and eventually no ignition.
