i have twin 350 crusaders in my caver 33 both motors start and run fine but after a hour of running the starboard engine will not turn over is the battery bad

Are you trying to say after an hour of running, if you shut down the engine and then try to restart it, the engine won't turn over?

I would also be concerned about water getting into some of the cylinders being a possible cause of engine not turning over (cranking) easily after it has been run for a while.

All good suggestions!

I'd add these to the possibilities list: Battery could be dead - load test it; Starter could be on the way out - check its current draw under load (can use the 'good side' as a reference).

Could be a bad starter. They can spin the motor over easier cold than hot.

While in college, I made good money "rebuilding" starters of 1950s GM cars. (Showing my age here.) All I did was change out the bushing at the drive end of the starter and away they went! Less than an hours work and a few bucks for the bushing and I was a well-paid hero!
