starter button popped out and went in the lake

I have an Evinrude 40 horse tiller operation outboard 1985 model that I got in a trade deal from a friend.The starter button is missing.You can start the motor with a stick if the shifter is in neutral.I need to know what the actual part is called in order to order the button and/or assembly so it can be made whole again. Anybody out there know what the part is called? Please reply. Sincerely, johnnykeslerblues
