Standard rotation or reverse rotation?

Hi all,

Generally speaking with 1987 Crusader 454's which is considered the standard rotating engine and which is the reverse rotating engine?

Thanks,

Hal

When standing in the front (bow) of the boat looking (rear) aft, I am looking at the front end of the motors where the belts are. The starboard side (right - driver side) motor turns counter clockwise (CCW) and the port side (left - passenger side) motor turns clockwise (CW) (the props each rotate outward). When looking at the back of the motor (the flywheel end) I guess you could say the exact opposite. So, which is considered standard rotation and which is considered reverse rotation?

Look at the serial number plate - LH = left hand and RH = right hand...

Like Chris inferred, the correct orientation is to look at the flywheel...and then determine rotation.
