Stalls in rough water

Okay I've replaced stator, trigger, switch box, water pump,all fuel lines, filters and a few other things . So here's the deal she runs fine full throttle and at slow speed but when i run into rough or choppy water for a couple minutes it looses power and stalls . pump ball and it will start back up and run for a couple mins. then stall again . I mix my gas and oil . So has anyone ever had this problem or know what's going on ??

What motor ?-----6 HP or 300 HP ?-----Run with a portable fuel tank and hose as a test.------

It's a 1984/5 60 HP. We pulled the 18 gal. aluminum tank last night,no restrictions that we could see . Will flush out and change all filters and try that ,will take a portable tank also . Will let you know how that works out.
