speedometer

Ok, so nobody has answered me. I found the small senson hole at the front of the lower unit and it is about the guage of a gym clip. My question now is there a tiny hole within the hole, or is this all there is to be cleaned out? Thanks.

The smallest piece of a leaf, stick,or any trash floating in the water will stop up the inlet.I've tried to clean out mine, also a 225,and thier is no use in trying.I jusy look at my gps speed anyway.GPS is accurate, but speedometers are usually not.The trash inside the hole is most likely to deep to reach.70mph is alot of pressure on whatever is in it.

to clean the speedometer hole I suggest open the gear box and remove the speedometer hose and blow compressed air. I think that will be best way to clean
speedometer hose and make sure hose not too much bend, blow air also hose from meter side, you must open the hose from meter as well.
