My Honda BF30A specifies a ND X22ESR-U - which in a nutshell is
X - 12 x 18.0 thread diameter and hex size
22 - heat range, equivalent to 7 for NGK, 5 for Bosch, etc.
E - reach 19 or 20 mm for gasketed type
S - Non-projected (0mm projection)
R - with resistor
-U - U-cut ground electrode
I'm currently shopping for both my motorcycle and outboard at same time. At the motorcycle site, there's a X22ES-U plug available, but obviously it's a non-resistor type plug. Given that this will be on a boat with no radio or other electronics, how important is the resistor type?
By the way, the Denso site helps with the 'decoding' of their plug types: http://www.globaldenso.com/en/products/aftermarket/plug/spec/index.html
