"I was wanting to know how much of a difference in engine performance overall spark plug gapping effects? I check my plugs and they are suppose to be around .030-.040 and they WERE around .020, will this effect it a lot?"

"What constitutes a GOOD gauge. I use the feeler gauge set that my father gave me 45 yers ago. I've broken the thinest one and some got a bit mangled by the car engine that required the valve clearances to be set while running. Other wise still seems to perform adequately well.

Only problem is they're in some archaic units called inches. Must chuck it away and get a set in millimetres one day and join the rest of the civilised world.
