Normally there would not be a choice. But for this combined motor assembly it might be the case.
I have combined a 1972 /65hp Evenrude power head with a 1973 / 65 hp triumph Evenrude. Only the 3 fixed jet carbs and relevant linkages were used in the setup. It’s now a 1973 Triumph with a 1972 power head.
What significant change was made to require the use of the UL-77V plugs in 1973 ?
Was it piston clearance, stator power, or carburetors ?
I am currently using the recommended plugs for the 1972.
