Should I replace my fuel line?

I have a 1989 Johnson 110 V4 motor that I fully rebuilt last year and am very happy with it's performance. Yesterday I added a connector in the fuel line so I can pull the line apart to drain the tank since only ethanol laced gasoline is available in Kommiefornia. I noticed that handling the fuel line was making my hands black. With the outside of the fuel line deteriorating I wonder if it is also breaking down on the inside, possibly leaching undesirable residue and maybe even particles into the carbs? Time to replace the line?

Another question...Since the rebuild I have ran a bit more than a tank (about 18 gallons) through the motor at 25:1 mix. Can I run the second tank at 40:1 or should I stay with 25:1 for a while? No WOT blasts longer than one minute. Boat goes 40 at WOT, I typically cruise at around 30-35 mph. Thanks for your thoughts!
