Shift cables adjusted. Will only go in gear when motor is not running.

I have done the 6 in adjustment and everything by the book on my alpha 0ne gen one and I can lock the prop when I turn it by hand. Start the motor and I have nothing. It won't go in forward or reverse. Any suggestions?

Have you had the drive off for inspection,..??

Gen 1. 1989. I've said the hell with it and just ordered a whole new drive. Way cheaper than fixing this one.
