Replacing the prop on my Yamaha 70TLR

Hello, I just bought a stainless prop for my Yamaha 70TLR to replace the original aluminum prop which was on it. I am not very savvy at working on boats and I wanted to make sure that this will actually work or what I need to do to make it work/safe.

My main question is, will the Yamaha thrust washer that was with my old prop work with the new one?

And the old prop without the thrust washer

Why wouldn't this work? I mainly ask because the old on is splined, so there is no real need for it to be in the groove of the hub on the new prop. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Next question, the hub on the motor where the seal is looks really rough to me, this is how it looked when I took the prop off, I just got this boat recently. Pictures:
