Can anyone help me? I have just bought a mariner 55hp 3 cylinder 2 stroke, which im guessing is from the 1980s. It ran for a few hours then stopped, ive checked the plugs and have no spark on any of them and no power reaching the coils. Im getting the CDI unit and stator checked this weekend and suspect one of them is faulty. Can anyone advise me if any of the other 3 cylinder 2 strokes ie the 50 60 or 70hp share the same electrics please? Ive seen a few of these been broken for spares but as yet not seen a 55hp one. Or maybe someone has a stator or CDI unit that would fit and is willing to sell? Im in the UK by the way so overseas postage would probably be to expensive.
