Question on Evinrude 150 Looper Crankcase Casting

This gasket can cause your problem ...

Along with the improper cover plate gasket..

Wow! I used NEW gaskets from Evinrude Carb kits supplied by Marine Engine……NOT CROWLEY MARINE. Are you saying that the Evinrude gasket materials may also be inferior and should NOT be used, or just not Crowley?? If so, what would you suggest be used to replace them?? Confused.
