Putting heat on trim motor bolts to remove

"I have a good mechanic replacing my trim/motor and he mentioned he usually doesn't have to heat all the bolts to remove, however on my 04' he did. Is there anything to worry about with doing this? I realize he had to in order to get them off, but didn't know if there could be any future problems with the pump in the future~ Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Chris.... It is a common practice to use a hand help propane torch to heat the aluminum that surrounds the bolts. This will not result in any damage to the PTT assembly.

One must never use an acyelene torch however as that heat will melt the aluminum in a matter of seconds.
