"Hi all,need to get a prop for my 280 drive and use the one thats on the boat as a spare to keep onboard.I wanted to use the SOLAS prop http://www.solas.com.au/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=48&cat=Volvo+%2D+S%2FP
its long hub only and I have a short hub currently fitted.What is the differance and will it be possible to fit the long hub on my 280 drive.

"You should be able to fit the prop. The difference I have seen with the long and short hub is the spacer, unless you have a short shaft. In which case you will have to keep a short hub prop. I happen to have the long shaft on my lower unit which enables me to go either way."
