Problem with BF150 cowling hold down

"The cowling is held down in the rear by 2 spring loaded detents. There is a cable that connects them to the forward latch. The last detent on the cable (starboard side) is not ‘relaxing’ completely so it does not fully engage the male side of the cowling hold down. I am sure the cable is adjustable but I cant tell if there is only one adjustment at the forward latch or a separate adjustment between the port and starboard detents?

My fear is that if I adjust it at the forward latch to loosen it so it fully relaxes the last detent it may put too much slack in the cable and the other detent wont be pulled back sufficiently to let go of the cowling when you are taking it off?

Anyone know how to adjust these things?
