Pro Xs very slow crank then beep then starts.

2016 PRO Xs 200 HP ..... low hours about 30hr.
New good tested batteries group 31 1000mca. Went thru 2. Same problem.
On cool or cold mornings and first START ONLY motor cranks very slow and hard. 2nd beeper sounds then motor starts...After 1st time its fine rest of day...Acts like low voltage. All leads are clean and connected well..Common complaint I'm reading. Any body have an answer?

I have an older Mariner 115 2 stroke with similar symptoms. I noticed that if I leave the propeller in the down position it starts very easily but if I raise the motor out of the water and then try to start it next morning the motor cranks very slow and hard. No problem once it has started and run for some time. Someone mentioned to me that the cause could possibly be that the carburetors drain which makes turning it over much more difficult. I tried leaving the motor in the down position for a couple of weeks and the problem never surfaced again until I started leaving the motor in the up position. Just an idea that worked for me.

This is injected motor. Yours does sound compression related
