Can you use a generic one

Is this on a 6 HP or 300 HP motor ?----Model # of your motor.----What is wrong with your primer ?

25RLCRD model #, I was trying to replace a dry rotted hose and snapped plastic nipple off. 25 Hp, the motor was running fine until I put an aftermarket primer on. Now it keeps stalling until I plunge primer. Runs for seconds till I hit primer again

Sound like hose debris in carb as primer shouldn't make a difference

10-4 I’ll try cleaning carb. The replacement factory primer assembly is over 100 dollars. Worth a shot. Thank you
