Pre-Alpha Trim Question

Have rebuilt my trim pump a handful of times now and it just keeps leaking past the o-rings at the valve body. I always know when it happens cause you can hear the gurgling sound of oil oozing out.

Anyways I decided to pull the rams and have them rebuilt, but noticed one of them is seized. Took my whole body weight to make it collapse.

Could a seized or damaged hydraulic ram be causing problems at the pump? I would think this would only but stress on the electric motor at the pump but cant help but wonder if this has been causing problems all along?

thoughts?
