Power pack Question

I have a chance to buy a sligh

I have a chance to buy a slightly used power pack for my 1989 30hp Johnson model num.(J30RLCED) The one I have is ng. The one I am looking at is off a 25hp model num.(J25ECCM) The part numbers are the same but there are additional number sequences stamped on this power pack(26 K V). The fried one off my 30hp has (16 K X) Will this still be ok?? what does this number sequence mean? The wiring is identical to mine. Thanks again guys
