Hello,can anyone help me to identify my boats engine? She is a 1972 Fiberform 24.1 foot,she came with absolutely no information from a storage yard, I took a picture of the engine to a marine repair shop and was told it is a OMC GM V8,but when I look at anything in my repair book,or online there is many different numbers.Is there somewhere some ID #'s will be,Im not looking to do repairs on the engine myself,I would just really like to know what I have, I am trying to learn as much as I can about her, its just really hard when I have no manual or anything for reference,all I have been able to find is a OMC Sterndrive Repair Book ,but still unable to know what I want to know...if anyone knows or could help with any info or suggestins,it will be greatly appreciated,thank you.
