pisser stream weakens to almost nothing upon acceleration

82 johnson 70 pees fine at idle but weakens to a dribble upon acceleration. returns to full strength when back at idle.

new impeller in may of this year.

any ideas?

Water pump needs looked at,intake screen is where cooling system starts.

Gaskets leaking on exhaust covers ?---Any loose bolts on those covers ?------Have you tested the overheat warning horn ?
