Hi, I've been reading some of the discussions here with interest as I have a long term project in my shed, which is an 18 foot runabout with a single prop out drive , driven by a small block 289 ford V8.
I would like to upgrade to an AQ series Duoprop , but they are rare here , there is one for sale online at the moment but its a DPD with a ratio of 1.78:1, might this work in my case given the light weight hull , seasons greetings , Barry.

Given that the boat is small, you might be able to use the taller 1.78:1 DP drive IF the engine was larger!
Otherwise, the 1.95:1 would be best for the smaller 289 cu in engine.
