This is the metal restrictor plate that fits between my Solex downdraft carb and the intake manifold. I didn't note the orientation of the plate when I took it off to rebuild the carb and the manual and parts drawing are difficult to ascertain.Looking straight down on it, does anyone know if the flat part should face west (like it is now), north, east or south? The words "Up" and "face front" are stamped on it...but who knows what front means...front of engine...front of manifold or...?
