Operating temp of 360

What would be the average operating temperature of a full fresh water Chrysler 360 operating at 3,000 RPM?
What do you mean by "Full Fresh Water"? Do you mean running in River/Lake water... or do you mean FWC... as in Fresh Water Cooled?
FWC, in a misnomer fashion, is often confused with a Closed Cooling System. There is nothing "fresh" about Ethylene Glycol and H2O mixture. (I know... my pet peeve!)

If your Chrysler 360 is fitted with a Closed Cooling system, your temperature should be near 170* or 180*.

If your Chrysler 360 is NOT fitted with a Closed Cooling system, your temperature should be near 170* or 180* when operating in River/Lake water.

If your Chrysler 360 is NOT fitted with a Closed Cooling system, your temperature should be near 140* when operating in ocean water due to salt crystallization that starts to occur near 140*.

They are FWC engines. The port engine runs close to 190. Has been for years - wondering if it's the gauge.
Yes... your guage may be incorrect.

If these are fitted with a Closed Cooling system, 170-180 is just about right.
If all is working correctly, your exhaust system will not run that high.
