OMC ECM

Your best bet is to try and get the Ford part...use your favorite browser.

Another option would be to check with one of the ECU/PCM repair houses ... if you have a bad one, they can likely fix it for much less than you can get a replacement for...

I have tried the Ford replacement that was recommended by a boat mechanic shop. It did not work. I had the ECM repaired by G7 Computers for 225 and it worked 3 times. I never made it out of the driveway. I tried a computer from Summit Racing and had a guy try to program it. That was 1000 and did not work. I am willing to send it out to be repaired but I do not know who to send it to that would do it right. Any suggestions on anyone that has a good history of doing it right or warrantying their work?

I hate to say it but these older EFI systems are a real headache due to a lack of parts. I would have converted back to a 4 bbl carb & Delco EST ignition system and enjoy having all those parts available in the aftermarket. I have no problems finding parts for my 35 year old Quadrajet carb & points distributor.
