I have an old 4-stroke 9.9 remote, but no wiring or controls. Ideally I'd like to set it up as a tiller motor.
I have been unable to locate a used tiller setup or even new parts. Any idea on where to find used parts/yamaha boneyards?

Although old, it doesn't have a lot of hours on it.
Alternatively, any idea on what controls are compatible? I have an old 704 unit with a round 7 pin male connector (5 pins).
The motor has a round 7 pin male connector as well. Motor has an electric starter switch and oil indicator on face but no "kill" switch.
If I could find the wiring diagram I might be able to splice and make the 704 controls work (then have to find shorter throttle and shift cables), then have to rig up a steering system and console for the boat.
Lot of work, and it will still be a high thrust so not ideal for my needs. However, my main outboard is out for repairs, so it would be nice to have a backup.
