I have a 1968 140 HP Chevy 4 cyl that I am restoring. I rebuilt the carb and put in a new fuel pump. It will start and run great for 1 minute, then it stalls. If I pump the fuel ball manually, it will keep running. What is going on? Could it be the coil or a resistor?

Ayuh,.... Or crap in the fuel tank,.....

Get rid of the primer bulb, 'n try runnin' it on a remote tank,.....

Right at the moment it dies,...... Is there power at the coil's (+) tiny terminal,..??

re: "If I pump the fuel ball manually, it will keep running." Then it's not an ignition issue!!!!
As posted above... fuel bulbs do not belong on inboards.

Possible vacuum leak on fuel filter? What kind of fuel filter on this one?
